Chinese electronics giant strengthens its position in MEA region

Sajjad Ahmad, Despite the challenges of Covid-19 pandemic, the Middle East & Africa market for electronics products has shown resilience in the last two years and expected to continue its upward growth in 2022, said Sunny Yang, General Manager of TCL MEA. Yang was speaking to a press conference during the launch of TCL Electronics’ new range of products on Wednesday in Dubai. She said, “TCL Electronics see huge amount of growth opportunities in the MEA region and to unlock these potentials avenues we are expanding our presence in this area.” Yang added, “The TCL’s market share in the UAE is over 5% currently and we are looking forward to strengthen our position in the country. The company is planning to establish an Experience Centre in the country later this year.” She continued, “The China-based electronic giant has registered over $30 billion revenue with a 81% growth rate in 2021.
