Buried in the Sierra Mazateca mountains on Oaxaca, Mexico is Chevé—a cave system that owns the distinction of deepest cave system…in the Western Hemisphere. A new Nat Geo documentary, “Explorer: The Deepest Cave” follows Bill Stone and a team of explorers intent on removing that “Western Hemisphere” qualifier and proving that Chevé has earned the title of deepest cave in the world.
