DGCA to enforce new system – ‘Inquiry, registration’ of passengers – ARAB TIMES – KUWAIT NEWS – Arab Times Kuwait English Daily

KUWAIT CITY, June 19: The Directorate- General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), for the first time will implement what it called the ‘inquiry and registration' of passengers at the Kuwait International Airport, reports Al-Anba daily quoting responsible sources. The same sources said the DGCA is expected to sign a contract with one of the specialized companies in this regard. The early inquiry and passenger registration system is applied in many countries around the world and the Gulf region.

The system enables the government authorities to expand the scope of control by conducting an early risk assessment for travelers and their luggage transported to and from Kuwait. The system also facilitates and improves the procedures for the passage of travelers through the country's ports by providing government agencies the passenger data in advance, and accordingly, the decision is taken to allow the passenger to board or not to board the plane.
