Omran Group has announced plans to invest US$3bn in strategic tourism projects in the next 5 years in alignment with Oman Vision 2040 goals.Muscat – In a significant move to bolster Oman’s tourism landscape, Omran Group has announced plans to invest US$3bn in strategic tourism projects in the next five years in alignment with the ambitious goals set by Oman Vision 2040 to cultivate a sustainable and diversified economy.

Hashel bin Obaid al Mahrouqi, CEO of Omran Group, emphasised that this investment underscores the company’s commitment to enhancing tourism infrastructure in the sultanate.

“Our focus on developing sustainable tourism destinations and assets is aimed at propelling economic growth and diversifying income sources,” Mahrouqi stated.

He further highlighted the group’s achievement in attracting nearly US$2bn in foreign investments for key tourism projects, and pointed out the critical role of the national travel operator platform – Visit Oman – in promoting local tourism offerings and connecting these with international markets, significantly boosting the influx of tourists to the sultanate.
