UK to shut all travel corridors from Monday

Britain is tightening border controls to prevent new strains of COVID-19 coming into the country, suspending all the ‘travel corridor' arrangements that had meant arrivals from some countries did not need to quarantine. The change comes into force at 0400 GMT on Monday and means all passengers must have a recent negative coronavirus test and transfer immediately into isolation upon arrival. The isolation period lasts for 10 days, unless the passenger tests negative after five days.Comments Read Next12 hours agoUK updates UAE travel advice for tourists1 day agoCOVID infection gives immunity for at least 5 months: UK study5 days agoQueen Elizabeth and husband receive COVID-19 vaccines7 days agoLondon declares ‘major incident' as virus ‘out of control'1 week agoBritain approves Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine for use1 week agoEngland to require COVID-19 tests for international arrivals1 week agoBritons ordered to stay at home as third national lockdown begins1 week agoUK prime minister orders new virus lockdown for England2 weeks agoTougher virus measures possible in coming weeks in Britain – Boris Johnson3 weeks agoUK imposes tough new restrictions to fight virus
