Huda becomes first Omani woman truck driver

Huda bint Salim al Mahrouqiyah has become the first Omani woman heavy duty truck driver under the 'Women On Wheels’ programme of ReadyMix Muscat, a member of Holcim group.Her induction and experience stands as a clear indication of the positive influence of the programme on the lives of Omani women seeking unconventional career paths, which is an idea brought out by another young woman Shameem bint Mansoor al Mahriziyah, Quality Control Engineer in the same company.This initiative seeks to create new opportunities and integrate Omani women into various sectors traditionally dominated by women.
