Emirates Slumps To $3.8 Billion Loss, The First In More Than Three Decades

The parent company of Emirates Airline has slumped to its first loss in more than 30 years, reporting a $3.8 billion loss for the six months to the end of September.

The Dubai-based airline saw revenues tumble by 75% during the period to just $3.2 billion. Other parts of the wider Emirates Group also suffered, with ground-handling arm Dnata reporting a 67% fall in its revenues to $644 million.
