Qatar stresses solidarity with Group of 77 states – The Peninsula

New York: The State of Qatar participated in the 46th annual meeting of Foreign Ministers of the member states of the Group of 77 and China, chaired by the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, on the sidelines of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

The State of Qatar was represented at the meeting by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs H E Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi.

In the statement of the State of Qatar to the meeting, he stressed that Qatar will always work within the principles of solidarity and multilateral action, and will continue to adhere to the goals and priorities of the Group of 77 and China, in a way that serves the common interest of the group and achieves its goals.

He affirmed the State of Qatar’s keenness as an active member of the group in realising the latter’s aspirations as Qatar recognises the importance of multilateral cooperation, and commitment to values based on the principles of solidarity and partnership.
