Amazon launches home services with fixed upfront prices in UAE

Amazon has launched home services in the United Arab Emirates to allow customers to buy and schedule different professional services including house cleaning, electronics repair, car wash, pet grooming, and smart home services through Amazon.ae.

'Amazon Home Services' has been launched after rebranding Helpbit, a home services marketplace by Souq. Helpbit was launched by Souq in 2016 as independent portal and had been offering different types of home services to users across UAE.

The rebranding exercise means that the services are now integrated into Amazon's ecosystem, enabling users to directly order them from the dedicated section for them on Amazon.ae or from different product pages when the users are purchasing an eligible product across home, consumer electronics, sports equipment, and consumables categories on Amazon UAE's website.

All the services listed on the platform have fixed upfront prices. So if a customer is looking to book a cleaner (who will bring their own cleaning materials) for five hours, they'll know that they will have to pay AED 200 ($55) when they book the service.
